Evaluation Activity 1

Evaluation Activity 1: In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

This is a medium shot of the protagonist in the film, which are Baily and Sean. This shot is effective because the audience have a idea of what the characters look like but also seeing the scenery of where the film is being set. It is also effective because we can see what they are wearing and seeing their facial expressions as they are walking down the road.

This is an over the shoulder shot of the two characters, Baily and Sean. This shot is effective because as the audience, we can see what the two characters are wearing but also the actions they are using when walking up to the door. It is also effective because we can see the body language of the two boys, telling the audience that they are calm and ready for the start of the day.
This is a long shot of the three main characters having a conversation. This shot is effective because we can see what the characters are doing and how their body language is being used. It is also effective because we can see the  antagonist in the background who is Anna and she is looking through the window staring at the three main characters. This makes the audience engage more into the film because they want to know what Anna is doing.
This is a close up shot of the antagonist (Anna) staring through the window outside. This is effective because this shot is showing what Anna looks like and what her facial expressions are doing. For example we can see on her face is that she is smiling creepily to make the audience a little scared. It is also effective because with Anna staring through the window, the audience now know who she is staring out
This is a medium shot of the antagonist again as this time she is walking into the house as Shannon one of the main characters is concerned about Anna because she was staring through the window rather than knocking on the door. This shot is effective because it is showing Anna walking through the door and what the surroundings are, but also the audience are getting a first look of what she looks like and we can see that she is wearing dark clothing showing she is the antagonist. The audience can also see her facial expressions which is her smiling because she is trying to act natural as Anna has been outside for a while, making the audience engage more.
This is a long shot of the Shannon one of the main characters and the antagonist who is Anna. This is effective because in this shot we can see that Shannon is going into the loft, but Anna is at the bottom of the loft stairs looking up at Shannon but it is showing us that Shannon doesn't know Anna is there. This is effective because the audience are seeing a dark side of Anna that they haven't seen before and are getting engaged of what she is going to do.
This is a another close up shot of Anna showing Shannon and the camera a photo of a family of four. This is effective because the camera is focusing on a photo of a family which is linked to the film
This it effective because it show the title of the film in a clear frame and the is the last frame in the film.
